Education International pressures politicians to provide more money
and leadership in order to get all children, everywhere, into school

Education International (EI), the global federation of teacher unions,
has invited its member organisations, representing 26 million teachers
and other education personnel worldwide, to actively participate in
the Global Action Week for Education to be held in more than one hundred
                                    countries from 19 to 25 April 2004.

The Global Action Week is being coordinated by the Global Campaign for
Education (GCE), a coalition of NGOs, civil society organisations and
teachers unions dedicated to fulfill the 2015 Education For All goal.
Today, 113 million children are still deprived of any education.
